It is with sincere gratitude, SAPSA is proud to announce we surpassed our fundraising goal of $72,000 for the 2018-2019 school year. Thank you for your participation in our numerous fundraisers and generous donations throughout the year.
Where did the money go?
Most of the funds raised by SAPSA fundraisers allows teachers to purchase classroom supplies. In addition, this school year, fundraisers have financed:
- Grade level Artist-in-Residence programs
- Library books
- Library and Tutoring Coordinator
- As well, helps offset the cost of the following programs: Destination Imagination, Extended Day Learning, School Patrols, Wolf Ridge, and the Young Author’s Conference
This fun event raised $7,500. Families and community members came together on a beautiful May evening to play games in the gym. Families were also able to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win gift baskets put together by each of the classrooms.
SAPSA held its annual plant sale at Langford Rec Center amid snowflakes and rain. Our school community raised over $10,000!
The SAPSA Social event, held on Friday, March 8th at Nico’s Taco Bar on Como raised $5,200 and allowed SAP adults to mingle and socialize at the hot new restaurant in the area.
The The Read-a-Thon surpassed all our goals. It brought in $12,000, plus our kids devoured books to the tune of more than 300,000 minutes! SAPSA President, Andy McNattin, and Principal, Dr. Duke, at the conclusion of the Read-a-Thon celebration.
Give to the Max Day & Direct Donations
SAPSA raised just over $8,000 in direct donations to our school. Over $3000 was raised on Give to the Max Day in November 2018.
Fall Festival and Silent Auction
The Fall Festival and Silent Auction raised more than $19,000. Students and families enjoyed food trucks, games, and the pumpkin run. The evening culminated with s’mores at Langford Park.
